Maine Recon began in 2011 with a simple principle: learn the craft correctly, execute with discipline, and never cut corners.

After early mentorship and hands-on training in traditional hand detailing, Joshua Davis built and operated a small dealership and auto center, applying his business and diesel engineering background. When life redirected the path, the standard never changed.

In 2016, Joshua assumed full control of detailing operations for Maine Limousine in South Portland, refining high-volume fleet correction and protection systems at scale. In 2018, J2D Ventures LLC was formed and Maine Recon officially launched as its own entity.

By 2019, leadership collaboration helped secure the Scarborough facility that remains home today. In February 2020, Maine Recon expanded into a retail-focused boutique detail studio built intentionally for premium outcomes.

Since 2020, Maine Recon has served over 2,000 clients throughout Southern Maine and New England.

Through structured apprenticeship pathways, disciplined SOP development, and hands-on mentorship, we actively develop the next generation of detailing professionals.
